Reading does not require an account. If you sign in, Echo Irish stores your Google identifier, verified email, display name and optional avatar for comments and moderation. It never receives your Google password.

Sessions use a random token in a secure HTTP-only cookie; only a hash is stored. Comments, replies and likes are tied to your user record. Deleted comments are normally soft-deleted so replies remain understandable.

The operator should replace this development notice with jurisdiction-specific contact, retention, legal-basis and data-rights information before public launch.
